"International warehouse" is the label SHEIN's tracking attaches to the first stage of an order: everything that happens before the parcel leaves the warehouse country. The two lines shoppers paste into search, "international warehouse, package awaiting pickup" and "international warehouse, package has been picked up and shipped to destination", describe the last moment inside the warehouse and the first moment outside it. Short answer: "International warehouse" tells you which stage the order is in, not that anything is wrong. The SHEIN status guides describe the label as alluding "to the warehouse and the country the order is coming from". "Package awaiting pickup" means the order is packed and is waiting for the carrier to collect it from the warehouse; the guides describe the same step as "The package has already been packed and the process is completed, it just needs to be picked up from the warehouse." "Package has been picked up and shipped to destination" means the carrier has collected it and the international leg has begun. SHEIN's tracking shows the stage label followed by a step. The steps shoppers search for, in the order they appear:

Where the "international warehouse" is
It is not one place. The guides that document SHEIN's logistics note that SHEIN ships from a "network of strategically positioned warehouses", that for European destinations it "has established regional warehouses, particularly in Poland and Belgium, allowing orders to be shipped from within the European Union and thus avoiding customs procedures for some shipments", and that items "bearing the 'EU Stock' label on the website are shipped from these European warehouses". So "international" is relative to you. An order for a customer in Sweden can sit in an international warehouse in Poland; an order for a customer in Texas can sit in one in China or one on the US coast. What the label tells you is that the parcel has not yet started its journey to your country, and the stage that follows tells you which journey it will take. How long "awaiting pickup" normally lasts
A day or two is normal. The pickup is a scheduled collection of that day's packed orders, so an order packed after the collection waits for the next one, and a weekend adds a day. The guides note that delivery timeframes "are counted from the actual shipment of the package and not from order confirmation, as warehouse preparation time can add one or two additional days."
What "awaiting pickup" for more than a few days usually means is not a lost parcel but a batch: consolidated cross-border shipments leave when a linehaul departs, and the guides name YunExpress among the providers SHEIN uses "for bulk package transport from Chinese warehouses to regional sorting centers". If the line has not changed in five working days, SHEIN's own advice for late orders is to wait until the maximum delivery date shown at checkout before reporting a problem, and the guides repeat it: SHEIN "recommends waiting until the maximum delivery date indicated when placing the order before reporting a problem." "Picked up and shipped to destination" but tracking stopped
Normal for the first stretch. After the pickup scan the parcel travels to a sorting centre and an airport, and the next scans are the linehaul carrier's: departed from origin, "the goods have been handed over to the airline", arrival in the destination country. For merchants: the stage label is doing the customer's work
SHEIN's "international warehouse" label is a small piece of good design: it tells the shopper which stage they are in before the step. Most brands' tracking pages show the carrier's raw scan and leave the stage to the customer's imagination, which is why "what does this mean" is the most common support question.
