"If my SHEIN package is out for delivery, when will it arrive?" is the most-asked question in the SHEIN tracking family, and it is asked in one shape: today or not, and what time. This page answers it from SHEIN's own help pages and from the published delivery windows of the carriers that deliver SHEIN parcels, and says plainly what nobody publishes. The full SHEIN status sequence is in SHEIN tracking statuses, and the general answer for any parcel, carrier by carrier, is in does out for delivery mean I get it today.
Short answer: Today, in almost every case, at any point up to the end of the local carrier's delivery day. "Out for delivery" (SHEIN also shows it as "in dispatch") means the parcel is on a vehicle for today's route. SHEIN does not deliver the last mile itself and publishes no delivery hours. Its help page says that once "the package is picked up by the local carrier, you can view updated tracking information in your SHEIN account or on the carrier's official website", and the Track page shows "the delivery method and carrier details". So the window that applies is the carrier's own: USPS says deliveries "should be made by 5:00 p.m. local time", OnTrac says packages "typically arrive between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.", UPS drivers "can deliver as late as 9 p.m.", FedEx's window is "8 a.m. - 8 p.m.", Evri's is "between 8am and 8pm", and Yodel's "between 7am and 9pm". None of them is a guarantee. If the day ends with no parcel and no attempt, it normally goes out again on the next working day.
What "out for delivery" means on SHEIN
The SHEIN hub's table reads the status as "On a vehicle for delivery today" with the advice "Be reachable". SHEIN's own pages do not define the string itself, because the scan is not SHEIN's: it belongs to the carrier delivering in your country, and SHEIN mirrors it into the order's event feed. SHEIN's help page describes the handover in one line: "Once the package is picked up by the local carrier, you can view updated tracking information in your SHEIN account or on the carrier's official website." The same page explains why the SHEIN feed can trail the carrier's: "Tracking updates can take 3–5 days, as scans only occur when the package reaches the next checkpoint."
The scan before it, on many SHEIN parcels, is "last mile departed" or "arrived at LM hub", the carrier's depot near you; what that one records is in last mile departed meaning on SHEIN. "Out for delivery" is the step after: the parcel has left that depot on the delivery vehicle.
Will it come today?
Yes, normally. The status is an expectation for the day, not a promise, and SHEIN's own shipping page is careful about that. Its US page says the estimated delivery window "is based on historical data, including information about when most orders were delivered", that "In most cases, the package should be delivered within the estimated delivery window", and that the actual date "may be affected by several factors, such as: Flight arrangements, Weather conditions, Processing delays, Carrier delays, Other unexpected factors". It adds: "Please refer to the tracking information for the most accurate estimated delivery date." A small share of routes do not finish; no carrier publishes that share, so it is not quantified here.
What time: the window is the carrier's, not SHEIN's
SHEIN does not publish a global carrier list. Its Track page names the carrier for your order, and the hub notes that OnTrac publicly lists SHEIN among the brands it delivers for in the US and that Evri does the same in the UK. Whichever carrier is named, that carrier's own published window is the one to use. These are the carriers' own words.
| Carrier | What the carrier publishes about the delivery day |
|---|---|
| USPS (US) | "All deliveries should be made by 5:00 p.m. local time Monday through Saturday. Unusual circumstances (such as traffic, staffing fluctuations, severe weather, natural disaster, changes in carrier route, etc.) can cause deliveries to be made after this time." |
| OnTrac (US) | "Packages to residences typically arrive between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. in your local time zone on your scheduled date of delivery." Also: "Select service areas provide deliveries Saturdays 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays 8 a.m. to 9 p.m." |
| UPS (US) | "UPS Ground packages are generally delivered anytime Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. (and sometimes later) to residences"; "Generally, our drivers can deliver as late as 9 p.m. During the holiday season, our drivers may deliver even later." |
| FedEx (US) | "The FedEx standard shipping delivery window is 8 a.m. - 8 p.m."; for Home Delivery, "Packages are typically delivered by 8 p.m." |
| Evri (UK) | "Our standard weekday delivery times are between 8am and 8pm. We'll also make sure to text you on the day with a 1-hour delivery window." |
| Royal Mail (UK) | Deliveries "Monday to Saturday between 7am and 4.30pm for letters and small parcels"; "parcel deliveries can take place as late as 6pm, especially during busy periods". |
| Yodel (UK) | "Parcels can be delivered anytime between 7am and 9pm Monday to Saturday, we do not offer timed delivery slots". |
If SHEIN's Track page names a carrier that is not in this table, use that carrier's own published window. The earliest you should treat the day as missed is the carrier's stated end of window.
How to find which carrier has your SHEIN parcel
SHEIN's help page gives the route: go to "My orders" on the website or app, select the order, and click "Track" to view "the delivery method and carrier details". If no tracking number is shown, SHEIN says "your order is still being processed in our warehouse". Once the carrier is named, open its own site with the tracking number from the Track page. Two of the carriers above offer a narrower window on the day: Evri says it will "text you on the day with a 1-hour delivery window", and OnTrac's NotifyMe program sends "text notifications when your package goes out for delivery, when there is an attempt, or when the package is delivered".
"Out for delivery" since 6 a.m.: the scan time is not the arrival time
The scan is applied when the parcel leaves the depot on the vehicle, which for most carriers is early in the morning, so a 6 a.m. "out for delivery" says nothing about when your stop comes. A scan time tells you the day, a carrier's text window (where it offers one) tells you the part of the day, and nothing tells you the minute. The general version of this, with each carrier's wording, is in out for delivery meaning.
If the day ends and nothing came
- Check the carrier's own tracking first. An attempt scan often posts hours after the visit. If the carrier shows "failed delivery attempt", the hub's advice applies: reschedule with the local carrier through the link on your SHEIN Track page.
- Still "out for delivery" the next morning. The route did not finish and the parcel went back to the depot; it normally goes out again on the next working day without any action from you.
- The estimated window has passed. SHEIN's shipping pages say: "If you find that your package has not been delivered within the estimated time, please contact customer service within 45 days of the payment date". Where an order counts as late, with SHEIN's windows per market, is in how long does SHEIN take to deliver.
- "Delivered" but nothing received. SHEIN's US page says: "If your tracking shows "Delivered" but you haven't received your package, or if your order has missing or incorrect items, please contact us within 45 days of the delivery date shown on your tracking page."
For merchants
The question this page answers is typed more than a thousand times a month in the exact form "if my SHEIN package is out for delivery when will it arrive", which is what happens when a marketplace shows a carrier's scan without the carrier's window. A brand shipping on the same local carriers can show the carrier's name and its published window next to the milestone, and treat a day that ends without a delivered or attempted scan as a trigger for a message before the customer writes in. Pango normalises the statuses of every connected carrier into one milestone set on the brand's own tracking page and uses the missed day as an operational trigger for a proactive notification. If this status is generating tickets, the options to compare are in carrier management software.
The bottom line
A SHEIN parcel that is out for delivery should arrive today, and "today" runs to the carrier's end of day, which is later than most people assume: 5 p.m. for USPS, 8 p.m. for FedEx and Evri, 9 p.m. for OnTrac, UPS and Yodel. SHEIN names the carrier on the Track page and publishes no hours of its own. If the window closes with nothing, look for an attempt, expect a second run the next working day, and contact SHEIN only once the estimated window has passed.
