Multi-carrier shipping software is priced in four shapes: free tiers that bill per label, monthly plans capped by shipments, monthly plans capped by labels with an overage, and enterprise quotes with no public number at all. The sticker is rarely the bill. What decides the invoice is the meter underneath: the shipment cap, the per-label fee, the automation-run charge, or the feature that only arrives two tiers up.
Every price below comes from the vendor's own public pricing page or Shopify App Store listing, fetched between 5 and 9 September 2026, and quoted in the currency it is published in. Where a vendor publishes no price, we say so rather than guess. Carrier counts are the vendor's own claims.
Short answer: Shippo (free to 30 labels, Pro $17 a month) and EasyPost (free to 3,000 labels) are the cheapest ways to print labels. ShipStation runs $14.99 to $349.99 a month, tiered by shipments up to $7,499.99. Easyship is free for 50 shipments and $29 to $99 for 500 to 10,000. Sendcloud is free for 20 parcels and €28 to €639 a month plus a €0.07 to €0.10 fee on every label. ShippyPro starts at €199 a month for 2,000 shipments. Webshipper is €149 to €766 by shipment cap. nShift and Parcel Perform publish no prices. Pango has a free plan and custom paid pricing by order volume, with no per-label or per-shipment meter.

The four meters, and what they do to your bill
Per-label fees. Sendcloud's paid plans add a processing fee to every label, "not the shipping costs but the price for the creation of shipping labels" in their words: €0.10 on Lite, €0.09 on Growth, €0.08 on Premium, €0.07 on Pro, plus €0.15 per label over the plan limit. Shippo charges $0.08 per label past 10,000 a month, and 5 cents a label on Starter when you use your own carrier account. Small numbers that scale with exactly the thing you are trying to grow.
Shipment caps. ShipStation, Easyship, ShippyPro and Webshipper all sell a monthly shipment ceiling. Divide price by cap and Webshipper's Essentials tier works out to roughly €0.30 a shipment, Easyship's Plus to about six cents, ShippyPro's entry plan to about ten cents. Those are published prices over published caps, not an estimate of your invoice, and they all share one property: ship one parcel over and you move up a rung. ShippyPro adds a twist worth reading twice: "Your subscription will be automatically renewed if you run out of the shipments or days available on your plan", so a strong month renews you early rather than charging an overage.
Metered extras. ShippyPro includes 1,000 automation runs a month and then bills €0.005 to €0.014 per run, and bills WhatsApp notifications per 70-character segment after 100 free. Their own worked example, 2,000 orders across four workflows, comes to about €83.50 a month in automation alone. Read the metering pages, not just the plan page.
Feature gates. The feature you need most is often the one placed highest. ShipStation puts auto-routing on Premium ($349.99 and up) and your own carrier accounts on Standard and up. Easyship puts own courier accounts on Plus and duties-at-checkout on Premier. Sendcloud puts the return portal on Growth and analytics on Premium. Webshipper puts branded email notifications on its €766 tier. ShippyPro caps Professional at five carriers and reserves the API for Enterprise.
Free tiers, honestly
Four vendors have a real free tier. Shippo: 30 labels a month, one user, no branded tracking. EasyPost: 3,000 labels a month on the API, with a $20 monthly charge to bring your own carrier accounts. Easyship: 50 shipments a month with discounted rates and courier selection. Sendcloud: 20 parcels a month on Sendcloud's own rates only, at €0.50 a label once you pass the limit. Each is genuinely usable for a small store. Each is also designed to be outgrown within a year.
Enterprise: no number until the call
nShift's pricing page carries no prices and routes you to a sales specialist. Parcel Perform's pricing URL redirects to a contact form; only its AI visibility product describes a usage-based credit model, without figures. That is normal for enterprise software, and it is a cost in itself: a brand doing 10,000 to 500,000 orders a year has to book a call to learn whether it can afford a tracking page.
What the price does not tell you
Sticker price is the smallest number in this category. A label tool that picks the wrong carrier costs more in failed deliveries and WISMO tickets than any subscription, and a shipment cap that forces an early renewal in peak season costs more than the overage it replaced. The comparison that matters is total cost against the work the software takes off your team, which is why the best multi-carrier shipping software roundup compares scope alongside price, and why what multi-carrier management is draws the line between printing the label and making the decision.
How Pango prices it
Pango has a free plan and paid pricing set by order volume. There is no per-label fee, no shipment ladder, no automation-run meter and no feature gate on routing, tracking, returns or the warehouse: every plan runs the whole post-purchase operation on one order record, with AI agents doing the routine work. The number scales with your orders, which is the one thing you actually want to grow. Vendor-by-vendor detail is in the ShipStation, Shippo, Easyship, Sendcloud, ShippyPro, Webshipper, nShift and Parcel Perform comparisons.
