"How long does ASOS take to deliver" has a different answer for every service, and ASOS publishes all of them. This page collects the windows, the cut-off rule, the postcode exceptions and the late-order advice in one place, quoting ASOS's customer care pages. The tracking statuses themselves are covered in ASOS delivery tracking.
Short answer: UK Standard Delivery is "within 3 working days" of placing the order (5 working days for a list of remote postcodes), £4.50 or free over £40. Next Day Delivery, £5.95, is "delivered the very next day" Monday to Sunday if you order before ASOS's cut-off time, with exclusions for parts of Scotland, the islands and Northern Ireland, where it runs Monday to Saturday as Next Day (OA) or (NI). ASOS Premier, £9.95 a year, gives free Next Day and Nominated Day over £15. Click and Collect follows the Standard or Next Day timing and the parcel is held 18 days at Royal Mail, 10 at an Evri ParcelShop or 72 hours at InPost. US Standard is 5 to 8 business days, US Express 3 to 4, Ireland Express 1 to 2 working days. If an order is late, ASOS asks for a few extra days and to contact it within 30 days of the estimated delivery date.

The Next Day cut-off
The most searched ASOS delivery question is the Next Day cut-off, and ASOS's page answers it with a rule rather than a clock: "Place an order before specific cut-off times to receive it on our Next Day Delivery option." The exact time is shown at checkout for your postcode and the day, which is why it is not printed on the help page; it moves with the delivery partner's collection schedule and with busy periods, when ASOS states it may switch Next Day off entirely. The practical reading: the checkout is the only place the cut-off is true for your order, and if Next Day is missing from the options, it has been switched off rather than sold out.
ASOS Premier
ASOS Premier costs £9.95 a year and gives free Next Day and Nominated Day delivery on orders over £15 (post-discount) and free Standard delivery with no minimum. The same postcode exclusions apply, so Premier does not make Next Day available where the service does not run.
US and Ireland
| Market | Service | ASOS's stated timing | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| US | Standard Shipping | "5-8 business days"; Alaska and Hawaii up to 14 | $10, free over $20 with Premier |
| US | Express Shipping | "3-4 business days"; Alaska and Hawaii 5 | $14.99 |
| Ireland | Express Delivery | "1-2 working days" | €14.00 |
US orders are fully trackable and a split order sends separate dispatch emails, so two ASOS parcels from one order can arrive on different days without anything being wrong.
When an ASOS order is late
ASOS's own guidance for a late order is patient by design: the estimate "may arrive before, on, or slightly after" the date shown, ASOS asks you to "give us a few extra days", and if the parcel still has not arrived you should contact ASOS "within 30 days of your estimated delivery date". Blank tracking after dispatch is normal for a while ("it'll update soon"). What each ASOS and carrier status means while you wait, including "It's Ordered" and the Evri handover, is in ASOS delivery tracking; if the tracking shows an attempt you did not see, delivery attempted but I was home covers it; and if the parcel is returned to ASOS's warehouse, ASOS states it refunds automatically and cannot redeliver or resend.
Returns timing, briefly
The return clock is separate: 28 days from delivery or collection to return for a refund, delivery charge refunded if the whole order goes back within 14 days, and refunds processed within 14 days of ASOS receiving the parcel. The full policy, including the guest fee and the Fair Use Policy, is in the returns section of ASOS delivery tracking.
For merchants
ASOS publishes a working-day window per service, a postcode table and a cut-off that lives at checkout because it changes. That is the correct design for a delivery promise: state what you can keep, let the checkout compute the date from cut-off, handling time and the carrier's measured performance, and tell the customer before they ask when it slips. How a promise like that is computed is in what is delivery promise; the routing and tracking that keep it are what Pango runs across more than 100 carriers through prebuilt connectors.
The bottom line
Three working days Standard, next day if you beat the checkout cut-off, five to eight business days to the US, one to two to Ireland, with a postcode table that decides which of those you actually get. Read the estimate at checkout as the promise and ASOS's 30-day rule as the deadline to act. Everything the tracking says in between is in ASOS delivery tracking.
