"How long does Temu take to ship to Nigeria" is answered on Temu's own Nigeria pages, and this page collects the answer: each method with its time and price, the free-shipping rule, processing time, what Temu's terms say about import duties and customs clearance, what Temu gives you if an order is late, and when to contact Temu. Every Temu fact is quoted from temu.com/ng, read on 2026-11-05 in a headless browser because Temu's pages do not render for a plain fetch. How Temu delivers in general is in how long does Temu take to deliver, the status sequence is in Temu tracking statuses, and the other African lane we have read is Temu to South Africa.
Short answer: Temu Nigeria lists Standard Shipping as "FREE on all orders" in "8 - 14 business days", and Click & Collect also free in "8 - 14 business days", after "1-3 days to process your order". There is no express option on the page. Temu's Nigeria terms say you "may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination", and that "Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you". If an order arrives after the latest delivery date, Temu issues a credit "within approximately 48 hours of that date" in the currency of the order, with the amount shown in your order details. Temu publishes no naira figure for that credit on the pages we could read. Temu names no Nigerian carrier.
What Temu Nigeria publishes
| Method | Time | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Shipping | "8 - 14 business days" | "FREE on all orders" |
| Click & Collect | "8 - 14 business days" | "FREE on all orders" |
| Processing | "It may take 1-3 days to process your order." |
The page's banner reads "FREE STANDARD SHIPPING/CLICK & COLLECT applies to all orders." Temu explains the two options: "You may choose standard shipping or Click & Collect depending on the items in your order and your location. As your orders may be handed over to local carriers for the final leg of delivery, tracking may not be available every step of the way." The delivery date for your order appears after payment: "After an order has been successfully paid and confirmed, you will see the delivery time and cost for shipping on your order confirmation page." Temu adds the usual caveat: "In most cases, your order will be delivered within the time of delivery. However, the actual delivery date may be affected by flight arrangements, weather conditions, and other external factors."
Import duties and customs: what Temu says
Temu Nigeria's shipping page says nothing about duties. Its terms of use do, in section 10.1: "you acknowledge that you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you, and we have no control over these charges." The same clause makes you the importer: "you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the products", and "We will not be liable if a product is delayed or denied customs clearance as a result of your failure to pay such amounts." Temu publishes no duty rate or threshold for Nigeria, and the Nigeria Customs Service website refused our fetch on 2026-11-05, so this page states no rate. The checkout total and your order details are the figures that apply to your order.
The late-delivery credit
Temu Nigeria's late delivery policy, last updated 11 August 2024: "If your order isn't delivered on or before the latest delivery date provided to you, we will issue you credit within approximately 48 hours of that date as a gesture of courtesy. The credit will be issued to your Temu credit balance in the currency used for the order using the exchange rate from when your order was placed. You can check the compensation amount for the late delivery in your order details." The latest delivery date "refers to the latest date of the delivery date range included in your order details". No credit is paid when the delay comes from "natural disasters", "strikes, inclement weather, or epidemic-related restrictions", an "incorrect, incomplete, or inaccurate delivery address", courier problems, a parcel "delivered to a specified location such as the post office or delivery locker for self-collection", a courier who "cannot contact you", or packages that "fail to be sent or delivered due to the delayed payment of applicable taxes". Unlike Temu's UK and South Africa FAQs, the Nigeria support FAQ did not render past its cookie screen for us, so no naira amount is quoted here.
Purchase Protection, carriers, and when to contact Temu
Temu Nigeria's Purchase Protection page served a security-verification puzzle instead of its text, and its delivery guarantee page redirected to a login screen, so neither is quoted. Temu's Nigeria pages name no delivery carrier. Your tracking shows which carrier has the parcel once it is handed over in Nigeria, and the stage names are explained in Temu tracking statuses. If the parcel has not arrived, or tracking says delivered and you do not have it, Temu asks you to "contact our customer service immediately and within 90 days of the order date".
For merchants
Temu Nigeria promises a window and a credit but leaves duties to the border, which is where cross-border parcels stall. A brand shipping into Nigeria can do better by showing the duty line at checkout and naming the local carrier on the tracking page at the handover. Pango is an AI-native operating system for e-commerce logistics. It controls the shipping methods, prices and ETAs shown at checkout, handles cross-border documents, and normalises carrier statuses on a branded tracking page with proactive notifications.
If you run a store and this lane is generating tickets, Pango runs a free shipping and returns audit on your own orders as part of a demo, and the software categories to compare are returns management software and carrier management software. Book the free audit.
The bottom line
Temu ships to Nigeria free in 8 to 14 business days, by Standard or Click & Collect, after 1 to 3 days of processing. Duties, if any, are yours at the border under Temu's terms. If the latest delivery date passes, a credit lands in your Temu balance within about 48 hours, and a missing parcel has to be reported within 90 days of the order date.
