PrettyLittleThing Delivery Times, Tracking and Returns: Standard, Express, Next Day, Premium DPD and InPost Windows, the Midnight Cut-Off, Royalty, the Carriers PLT Names, the 21-Day Returns Window and the Late-Order Rule, From PLT's Own Pages

"How long does PrettyLittleThing take to deliver" has a different answer for every service, and PLT publishes all of them on its delivery information, FAQ and returns pages. This page collects the windows, the cut-offs, the postcode exceptions, how tracking works and when the link appears, the carriers PLT names, the returns window and fee, and the late-order rule in one place, quoting prettylittlething.com's own pages fetched on 2026-10-27. What the carriers' own statuses mean is on the carrier hubs linked below.

Short answer: UK Standard Delivery is £3.99 and "usually delivered within 4 working days (Monday – Saturday)". Express Delivery is £4.99, "delivered within 2 working days". Next Day Delivery is £5.99, "subject to cut-off times": "order by midnight for Next Day delivery. Monday to Sunday (not including bank holidays)". Premium DPD Next Day is £6.99: "order before 9pm Sun-Friday & before 8pm Sat". An InPost locker is £2.49, "usually delivered within 3 working days", with up to two extra days for a list of Scottish, Cornish and island postcodes. PLT Royalty is £9.99 a year for free delivery on orders placed before 23:59, Monday to Sunday, with free returns included. Tracking opens from the dispatch email with the order number, and "parcels can only be tracked after they've been dispatched". Returns: "21 days to send something back to us from the day you receive it", £1.99 per parcel deducted from the refund (Royalty: one free return per order), no exchanges. Late orders: "most delayed deliveries are delivered on the following day", and disputes within 28 days of the carrier marking the order fulfilled.

Delivery hours, from PLT's delivery page: deliveries are made between 8am and 9pm, which is why PLT's late rule starts at 9pm.

The Next Day cut-off

PLT states two cut-offs as clock times. For Next Day Delivery, "order by midnight for Next Day delivery. Monday to Sunday (not including bank holidays)". For Premium DPD Next Day, "order before 9pm Sun-Friday & before 8pm Sat". The InPost postcode list above is the published exception for slower lanes; the checkout shows the delivery date for your postcode.

PLT Royalty

PLT Royalty is £9.99 a year and gives next-day delivery on orders placed before 23:59, Monday to Sunday excluding public holidays, with returns included: PLT's returns page says "Royalty customers are limited to one free return per order. Additional returns for the same order will be charged." Delivery is free on the Standard, Express and Next Day services for Royalty members.

How tracking works and when the link appears

PLT tracks orders through its track-and-return page: "you can track your order here. Your order number will be on your dispatch email, parcels can only be tracked after they've been dispatched." So there is nothing to track between the order confirmation and the dispatch email; from dispatch, the carrier's own tracking carries the detail. What each carrier's statuses mean is on its hub: DPD tracking statuses, Evri tracking statuses, InPost tracking statuses and Royal Mail tracking statuses. "Out for delivery" on a PLT parcel means delivery that day within the carrier's window, which PLT gives as 8am to 9pm; what each carrier's own window is, and why a morning scan is not a morning delivery, is in does out for delivery mean today.

The carriers PLT names

PLT's delivery page names DPD for its Premium DPD Next Day service and InPost for lockers; its FAQ mentions Evri (as MyHermes, Evri's former name) and InPost as delivery options. The delivery page does not name the carrier for Standard, Express or Next Day Delivery, so the dispatch email and the tracking page are the statement of which carrier has your parcel. Royal Mail is linked as a hub above for shoppers whose tracking shows a Royal Mail scan; PLT's pages fetched today do not name Royal Mail as a current carrier.

Returns: window, fee and method

From PLT's returns page: "you've got 21 days to send something back to us from the day you receive it", extended for a limited period so that orders placed between 7 November and 5 January can be returned until 23:59 on 5 January. The fee: "a returns charge of £1.99 per parcel will be deducted from your refund amount", with Royalty customers "limited to one free return per order". Returns are started in the returns portal at track-and-return with the order number and email or postcode, with the label printed at home or in store. Items must be unwashed, unworn and with the original labels attached; there are no exchanges: "unfortunately we don't offer an exchange facility. Simply return your item(s) and reorder." Refunds: "as soon as we receive your order back we get to work on processing your return and issuing the refund", with an email when the return arrives and again when it is processed; a gift card can be chosen instead of a cash refund, with 20% extra and a 90-day validity. Exclusions for hygiene reasons: cosmetics, pierced jewellery, swimwear or lingerie where the seal is broken or the item is used.

When a PLT order is late or missing

PLT's own rules, in order. First, the delay line: "on the rare occasion deliveries are delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, most arrive the following day", and on the delivery page, if it is past 9pm on the expected delivery date, "most delayed deliveries are delivered on the following day"; contact PLT with the order number to investigate. Second, the dispute window: "28 days starting from the day that the tracking status for your order is updated by the carrier as fulfilled", with PLT reserving the right to ask for evidence before refunding. For a parcel marked delivered that you do not have, check the safe place, neighbours and the locker or shop before contacting PLT; the checklist is in package says delivered but not received.

For merchants

PLT's pages show a delivery promise written down: a window per service, two cut-offs as clock times, a named carrier on the premium service, a postcode list for the slow lanes, a late rule with an hour in it and a dispute deadline. What a brand cannot copy from a help page is the operation underneath: the promise at checkout has to be computed from the carriers' live cut-offs and the warehouse's measured handover time, the tracking page has to translate several carriers' statuses into one set, and the late rule has to fire a message before the customer checks the clock. Pango computes the checkout promise from handling time, cut-offs and measured carrier performance, normalises the statuses of every connected carrier into one milestone set on the brand's own tracking page, and sends the delay and failed-attempt messages automatically; the returns policy a brand writes, with its window and fee, is the subject of how to write a return policy.

The bottom line

PLT publishes a window for every service, a midnight cut-off for Next Day and a 9pm one for Premium DPD, a postcode list for the slow lanes, a 21-day returns window with a £1.99 fee, and a late rule that starts at 9pm. Track from the dispatch email, read the carrier's status on its own hub, and contact PLT if the next day passes.
