Poshmark Tracking: Every Status and Deadline Explained

Half of what the internet says about Poshmark shipping is out of date. Since September 12, 2025, Poshmark ships on USPS Ground Advantage, not Priority Mail, the flat rate dropped from $8.27 to $6.49, and unshipped orders now auto-cancel on day 14, not day 21. Everything below is from Poshmark's own current help pages and the Posh Protect policy, verified in September 2026 with capture dates in our source ledger.

Short answer: tracking appears under My Purchases "once your package is scanned into the USPS mail stream." Sellers have 7 days to ship, you can cancel for a full refund "on the 8th day", and Poshmark auto-cancels unshipped orders on day 14. Ground Advantage runs "2-5 business days", Poshmark's overall guidance is "please allow 1–2 weeks to receive your order", and after delivery you have exactly "72 hours" to open a Posh Protect case before payment releases to the seller and "all sales are final".

How Poshmark shipping works

Every US sale ships on PoshPost, Poshmark's USPS label: "We teamed up with the USPS to create Posh Post, an exclusive label just for Poshmark sellers." The seller gets "a prepaid, pre-addressed shipping label" by email as a PDF, or a QR code for printerless drop-off. One label covers everything up to 5 lb, and the buyer pays the $6.49 flat rate.

Two rules that bite:

  • The Poshmark label is mandatory for protection: "If the Poshmark provided shipping label is not used, we are unable to reimburse for packages lost in transit."
  • Old Priority Mail boxes are now a problem: since the Ground Advantage switch, "USPS may refuse Ground Advantage shipments with Priority Mail packaging" and from October 12, 2025 charges "a $5 fee for using Priority Mail packaging."

Heavier items need a new label: 5.01 to 10 lb costs the seller $5.00, 10.01 to 15 lb costs $10.00, and 15 lb is the hard maximum per label. In Canada, orders ship Canada Post (C$12.49 home delivery) or Purolator Pick Up (C$6.99), and "Poshmark does not currently offer cross-border shipping."

The deadlines that run every order

DayWhat happens, per Poshmark
Day 0Buy Now orders can be cancelled "within 3 hours of purchase" if unshipped. Offers are final sale
Days 1-7"Sellers have up to 7 days from the date of purchase to ship an order"
Day 8"You have the option to cancel your order on the 8th day and get a full refund"
Day 14"Poshmark reserves the right to automatically cancel any order that remains unshipped by the 14th day"
Delivery"You have 72 hours after delivery... to open a return case"
Delivery + 3 days"The order will be auto-accepted and payment released to the seller"

Where the tracking is, and when it appears

"Once your package is scanned into the USPS mail stream, you can find tracking details by going to: My Purchases > Select the order you'd like to track." The key phrase is scanned into the mail stream: a label being printed creates nothing to track. Poshmark's own guidance on the first scan ranges from "48 business hours" on one help page to "5 business days" on another, so a quiet tracking page in week one usually means USPS has not scanned the parcel yet, not that it is lost. The raw USPS statuses underneath are decoded in carrier tracking statuses and shipping label created but not moving.

Tracking stopped updating mid-journey

Poshmark's patience rules are unusually specific:

  • "In most cases, tracking may pause for a few days due to a minor delay, but it will typically resume as the package moves through the carrier's network."
  • The escalation threshold: "If there are no additional tracking updates 21 days from the last scan, please contact Poshmark Support so we can assist."
  • Watch for the flag status: "Your order may be impacted if tracking for the order shows, 'In Transit, Arriving Late.'"
  • Hawaii, Guam and military addresses legitimately track slower on Ground Advantage.

Sellers reporting a scanned-but-silent package use the built-in flow: My Sales, then Problems/Order Inquiry, then "Shipped, but Not Tracking". And the safety net is real: "If your order gets lost in transit and was not marked as delivered by the shipping carrier, we'll refund you your payment." The physics of the pause itself: why a package gets stuck in transit.

How long does Poshmark take to deliver?

Poshmark's own numbers: sellers mostly "ship within 2 days of purchase" but have 7, Ground Advantage runs "2-5 business days", and the official expectation-setter is "Please allow 1–2 weeks to receive your order." Luxury orders over $500 detour through Posh Authenticate, which "usually takes 1-3 business days once the item arrives at Poshmark's Authentication facility", so add that to the math on high-end orders.

Delivered but not received, and the 72-hour clock

If the order shows delivered but is not in your hands, report it in the app: Purchases, then Problems/Order Inquiry, then "Order Not Delivered". Do it fast, because the release clock does not wait: "If no return case is opened within 3 days of delivery, payment will be automatically released to the seller. Once payment has been released, all sales are final and no refunds will be provided under Posh Protect." Poshmark is explicit that "emailing Poshmark Support does not qualify as opening a return case." The doorstep checklist first, though: package says delivered but not received.

Posh Protect: what is and is not covered

The policy in one line: "We will give you a full refund if your item never ships or does not match the listing description. Otherwise, all sales are final." Covered grounds within the 72-hour window: undisclosed damage, incorrect or missing item, item not as described, not authentic, or never shipped. Not covered: "Fit Issues", "No longer want the item", and "Delayed delivery". Approved returns must ship back "within 5 days of approval", and cases typically take "1-2 business days to process."

Sellers get paid on the delivery scan plus acceptance: "After the buyer receives the item, we release the money to your Poshmark account within 3 days of delivery", with auto-release if the buyer does nothing.

The merchant view

Poshmark runs the entire marketplace on tracking events: the delivered scan starts a 72-hour dispute window, silence for 21 days triggers support, and payment releases automatically off the same feed. That is delivery data doing the work of a support team. Most brands have the same data and none of the wiring, which is why WISMO tickets pile up. Pango is that wiring for your own store: order tracking that treats every scan as a trigger, with returns running on the same record.

The bottom line

Poshmark tracking is a set of clocks: 7 days for the seller, day 8 to cancel, day 14 auto-cancel, 21 silent days before support steps in, and 72 hours after delivery to speak or the sale is final. Know the clocks and the tracking page reads itself. For brands that want their own delivery events wired to actions like this, see the post-purchase operations platform and book a demo.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about how Pango works, and what switching looks like.

Before the first USPS scan there is nothing to track, and Poshmark's guidance for that first update ranges from 48 business hours to 5 business days after drop-off. Mid-journey pauses of a few days are normal. The escalation line is 21 days with no new scan.

Sellers have 7 days to ship, though most ship within 2. USPS Ground Advantage then takes 2 to 5 business days. Poshmark's official expectation is 1 to 2 weeks door to door, plus 1 to 3 days if the order goes through Posh Authenticate.

No. Since September 12, 2025 Poshmark ships via USPS Ground Advantage at a $6.49 flat rate, and USPS may refuse or surcharge parcels in old Priority Mail packaging.

On the 8th day after purchase you can cancel for a full refund. If you do nothing, Poshmark auto-cancels unshipped orders on the 14th day. Accidental Buy Now purchases can be cancelled within 3 hours.

Open the order under Purchases, then Problems/Order Inquiry, then Order Not Delivered, within 3 days of the delivery scan. After 72 hours the payment releases to the seller and Posh Protect closes. Emailing support does not count as opening a case.
