Narvar is the largest name in post-purchase software, and the one most enterprise retailers already know. It sells delivery date prediction, package protection, branded tracking, notifications, delivery-claim handling and returns as one platform, describes itself as leading "the next frontier of agentic commerce", and in 2026 introduced Narvar Command, which it calls "the new adaptive operating system" for the post-purchase experience. Pango also calls itself an operating system, which is exactly why the two deserve a careful comparison rather than a slogan contest.
Everything attributed to Narvar below is quoted from Narvar's own website and its Shopify App Store listing as read on 28 September 2026. Narvar's outcome figures are quoted as Narvar's claims. Pango claims come from Pango's published material.
Short answer: Narvar's site describes six products, "Promise" ("AI-powered delivery date estimates to boost conversion"), "Secure" (package protection), "Track" ("Personalized tracking experiences"), "Notify" ("Proactive communication"), "Assist" ("Delivery claim management to tackle fraud") and "Shield" ("Returns and exchanges management to mitigate fraud and reward best customers"), on a platform "Trusted by 1,500+ global brands and integrated with 1,000+ carriers", with an intelligence layer, IRIS, that it says transforms "74B+ interactions" into insights, and Narvar Command as the layer where brands "adapt experiences, policies, content, and intelligence in real time". It does not publish prices. Pango covers the same tracking, delivery-promise, notification and returns ground for a smaller brand and also does what Narvar's pages do not describe: choosing and booking the outbound carrier with labels and rate shopping, and running warehouse pick, pack and dispatch, on one record of the order, with rules written in plain language. Choose Narvar if you are an enterprise retailer that keeps its shipping and warehouse systems and wants the most mature experience layer on top; choose Pango if you are a DTC brand that wants one system to run the operation.
What each platform runs
| Area | Narvar (from its site) | Pango |

| Outbound carrier routing, rate shopping, labels | Not described. Narvar's carrier integrations are described in the context of tracking ("integrated with 1,000+ carriers") | Multi-carrier routing, rate shopping, label generation, shipping rules, multi-warehouse fulfilment, on more than 100 carriers through prebuilt connectors |
| Warehouse pick and pack | Not described | Pick and pack at the warehouse bench, on the same record as the shipment |
| Order tracking and notifications | "Track: Personalized tracking experiences to build brand loyalty"; "Notify: Proactive communication to drive customer lifetime value"; Narvar claims tracking pages "converting 10% higher" and "up to 15x ROI from dynamic notifications" | Branded tracking on the merchant's domain, statuses normalised across carriers, proactive messages, CS lookup |
| Package protection and delivery claims | "Secure: Give shoppers peace of mind and protect and grow your bottom line"; "Assist: Delivery claim management to tackle fraud and build trust"; Narvar claims "Decrease delivery claim payouts by 25%" | Claims handled in the returns and claims workflow on the order record; no consumer-paid protection product |
| Returns and exchanges | "Shield: Returns and exchanges management to mitigate fraud and reward best customers"; the Shopify app "Narvar Return and Exchange" lists "Custom policies, Non-returnable items, Return windows, Return reasons, Multi-language, Shipping labels, Return tracking, Email notifications, Custom branding, Refund management, Customer blocklists, Analytics" | Rules written in plain language and compiled per merchant and per country; exchange to any product with the replacement order on the same record; return scan as an operational trigger; customs documents for cross-border returns |
| Intelligence and AI | IRIS, "Transform 74B+ interactions into insights that personalize, optimize, and protect"; Narvar Command, "the adaptive operating system customers use to run and manage the post-purchase experience" | Agents run the routine cases across delivery, tracking and returns; rules stated in plain language and compiled into workflows |
| Integrations named | "Shopify, Zendesk, BigCommerce, Klaviyo, Magento, Gorgias, Salesforce, Attentive" | Shopify-first install; carriers, WMS, support and marketing tools on the integrations page |
| Pricing | Not published; the site's calls to action are "Request a demo" and "Book a demo". The Shopify app is listed as "Free" with a 4.5 rating from 21 reviews | Priced by order volume; see pricing |
Where the two overlap
On the customer-facing layer the overlap is real and Narvar is the more mature product. Delivery date prediction, branded tracking, proactive notifications, package protection, claims, returns and exchanges are all on Narvar's product list, and its scale claims ("1,500+ global brands", "1,000+ carriers", "74 Billion consumer interactions annually", "14+ years of purchase-experience intelligence") are the largest in the category. Pango does delivery promise, tracking, notifications, returns and exchanges too. A buyer comparing feature lists on that layer will find both, and Narvar will have more integrations and more years behind them.
The comparison is not decided there.
Where they differ: an operating system for the experience, or for the operation
Narvar Command is described precisely: "one place to adapt experiences, policies, content, and intelligence in real time", where a brand can "update a policy, launch an experience, or change content across tracking page, email, and returns portal". Its FAQ answers "What is Narvar Command?" with "the adaptive operating system customers use to run and manage the post-purchase experience: configure, personalize, scale, and adapt every touchpoint dynamically." That is an operating system for the experience layer, and it assumes the logistics underneath, the carrier choice, the label, the warehouse, are run by other systems that Narvar integrates with.
Pango's operating system runs that underneath layer. The outbound carrier is chosen by rule per lane, the label is generated, the pick list is worked at the bench, the parcel is tracked and the return comes back, on one record. Because the same system holds the carrier contract, the warehouse handover time and the return scan, its agents act on the operation rather than on the presentation of it: a late handover changes the routing and messages the customer; a return scan releases the refund and the restock. That is the scope difference, and it is the durable one. Narvar's pages do not describe outbound carrier selection, label generation or warehouse operations, and this comparison does not claim they lack anything on the experience layer.
Who each is built for
Narvar's site speaks to retailers: its customer stories are enterprise names, its industry pages run from apparel to healthcare, and its integrations list includes Salesforce alongside Shopify. Its pricing is by request. That is the profile of a large retailer with a shipping stack, a WMS, a customer-service platform and a team to run an enterprise integration, buying the experience layer from the category leader.
Pango is built for DTC brands, Shopify-first, that would rather not operate a shipping tool, a tracking tool and a returns tool as three systems, and want the delivery decision, the warehouse and the returns to run on one record with the team supervising. Install and guided setup replace the integration project. The comparison with the vendors that sit closer to Pango's size is in Pango vs AfterShip, Pango vs Loop Returns and Pango vs parcelLab, and the alternatives view in Narvar alternatives.
Pricing and commitment
Narvar publishes no prices; the site's paths are "Request a demo" and "Book a demo", and the Shopify app "Narvar Return and Exchange" is listed as free to install. Pango's plans are priced by order volume on its pricing page. The method for comparing post-purchase pricing models, including quote-based enterprise pricing, is in post-purchase platform pricing.
The bottom line
Narvar is the category leader on the experience layer, with the biggest scale claims, the most products and no public price. Pango is the operation itself, from carrier choice and pick and pack to tracking and returns, on one record, priced by volume. The question is not which has more features on the tracking page; it is whether you want to keep running the logistics stack under it. To see the difference on your own orders, book a demo.
