Wallapop Shipping and Tracking Explained: Deadlines, Carriers, On-Hold Shipments and Collection Windows

Wallapop is Spain's biggest second-hand marketplace, and Wallapop Shipping (Envíos) is the service that lets a buyer in Seville receive a parcel from a seller in Bilbao without meeting. It runs on several carriers at once, which is why two Wallapop orders can behave completely differently: one arrives at a Correos office and waits 15 days, another sits in an InPost locker for 8, a third goes back to the seller after two Seur attempts. This guide explains the deadlines Wallapop sets for both sides, which carrier does what, what "on hold" means and how to fix it, and how long each carrier holds a parcel you did not collect. Every rule is quoted from Wallapop's own help centre.

Short answer: The seller has 24 hours to confirm the sale and 5 calendar days to hand the parcel to the carrier (a deadline landing on Saturday moves to Monday, on Sunday to Tuesday). Delivery takes "2 to 4 business days approximately" inside Spain. After the carrier confirms delivery you have 48 hours to check the item; when you press "All OK" or the 48 hours pass, the seller is paid. If nobody is home, Correos holds the parcel 15 days, GLS and Boyacá 10, InPost 8, and Seur sends it back to the sender. Tracking works in the app and on the carrier's own site with the Wallapop shipping code.

From purchase to payout

StageWhat happensDeadline
PurchaseYou press "Buy", choose the shipping method and pay in the appSeller has 24 hours to confirm or refuse
HandoverThe seller drops the parcel at a point or books a home pickup5 calendar days from confirmation
TransitThe carrier moves the parcel to your address, office, point or locker"2 to 4 business days approximately" in Spain
DeliveredThe carrier confirms delivery and the app updatesUsually "within minutes", sometimes a few hours
CheckYou confirm the item matches, open a dispute or report transport damage48 hours from the carrier's delivery confirmation
PayoutThe money reaches the seller's walletAutomatically after "All OK" or the 48-hour window

The 5-day rule has a calendar twist worth knowing: "if the expiration date falls on Saturday it is changed to Monday and if it falls on Sunday it is changed to Tuesday. The deadline remains unchanged if the expiration date falls on a public holiday." If the seller misses it, the sale is cancelled. Sellers who see "The deadline for delivering the package has expired" after they did hand the parcel over are told this is "a technical error" and to contact Wallapop.

Which carrier delivers a Wallapop order

Wallapop Shipping "is made with different transport providers and services". From its help centre:

CarrierWhere it is usedHow handover and delivery work
CorreosSpain to SpainSeller drops at a post office; buyer chooses a post office or home delivery
SeurSpain to Spain; Spain to Italy (Spanish leg)Home pickup and home delivery, or a Seur point
MethodBulky items in SpainHome pickup and home delivery
GLSSpain to SpainSeller drops at a GLS point; buyer collects at a GLS point
BoyacáSpain to SpainSeller drops at a Boyacá point (pharmacies, tobacconists); buyer collects with a PIN
InPostSpain, Portugal, Spain to ItalyPoints and lockers; QR or PIN code to collect
Bartolini (BRT)Italy leg of Spain-Italy and Italy-Spain ordersHome delivery or a BRT-fermopoint

Once the carrier has the parcel you can track it two ways: in the Wallapop app or web from the transaction in the "You" section under Purchases/Sales, or on the carrier's own tracker with the shipping code. Wallapop links the Correos, Seur, Method, GLS, Boyacá and InPost locators from its help pages. The carrier-side statuses are explained in our Correos, InPost, GLS and BRT guides.

InPost lockers: the timings are different

For InPost shipments Wallapop publishes its own rules. The seller has 5 days to deliver the package to an InPost point. Transit is "3-4 working days for inside Spain transactions" and "a maximum of 6 working days for a Spain-Italy transactions". Then: "The buyer has 8 calendar days to pick up the package once it has been deposited", using "the QR or PIN code received by email or SMS from InPost". Miss the 8 days and "the package will be returned to the point of origin for the seller to collect." Parcels must fit the locker sizes: small 8x38x64 cm, medium 19x38x64 cm, large 41x38x64 cm, maximum 20 kg. InPost's own status wording is decoded in InPost tracking statuses.

"On hold": what it means and how to fix it

A Wallapop shipment goes on hold "due to missing data or an address error", and both buyer and seller are notified in the app. The fix and the clock depend on the carrier.

Seur. "The modification period is 7 calendar days from the moment the incident is registered." The buyer receives an email from Seur and can change the delivery to a Seur point, change the address or change the date. If nothing is fixed, "the package will be returned to the seller" and the buyer is refunded once the seller receives it.

Correos. "The modification period is 5 calendar days from the moment the shipment is parked and the solution must be provided by the buyer." Correos sends an SMS with the reason and a link; on the Correos site the path is Tools → Managing held items → Manage your delivery, where you enter the tracking code (PK followed by digits) and the PIN from the SMS, then modify the details or choose an office. Wallapop adds a tip: on the Correos site, "omit the description of the carrier in which reference is made to the sender", because Correos labels the parties from the carrier's point of view.

Nobody home: how long each carrier holds the parcel

CarrierIf delivery failsHold time
CorreosDeposited at the office nearest the buyer; collect with ID and the notice or the shipping number15 days
SeurReturned to the sender, who gets an SMS with the pickup-point addressNot held for the buyer
GLSLeft at a pickup point (shops), buyer emailed the address10 days from the first attempt
BoyacáHeld at a pickup point (pharmacies, tobacconists), collect with the PIN10 days
InPostHeld at the point or locker8 calendar days

After the hold, Correos and Seur parcels go back to the seller's sender address and GLS and Boyacá parcels to the origin point. On the seller's side, a returned Wallapop parcel is redelivered to the sender's address (Correos: one attempt, then 15 days at the local office; Seur: two attempts, then 10 days at a pickup point; Method: returned to the seller). A parcel nobody collects is then archived, and Wallapop gives "a maximum period of 90 days from the first delivery attempt to retrieve it" through support. The general guidance for a missed attempt is in attempted delivery meaning.

Tracking has not updated

Wallapop's advice is to check the carrier's own locator first. Delivery normally shows "within minutes of receiving the package", though "the update may be delayed by a few hours". Two cases need Wallapop itself: a buyer whose parcel shows delivered but has not arrived, and a seller who handed the parcel over but sees the expired-deadline message. In both, have the Wallapop shipping code ready, because support asks for it. For the carrier-side reasons a feed goes quiet, see why is my package stuck in transit, and for a delivered-but-missing parcel, package says delivered but not received.

Seller pickup did not happen

If Seur did not collect, Wallapop lists the reasons: a wrong pickup address (cancel the transaction rather than taking the parcel to an office yourself), or a failed attempt because nobody was home, in which case "Seur will attempt a new pickup on the next business day by default". Sellers can change or cancel the pickup through MiSeur from the link in Seur's email. For Method pickups, Wallapop gives an email address for rescheduling.

The merchant view

Wallapop shows what a multi-carrier operation looks like from the customer's side when nobody translates it: five carriers, five collection windows, two different on-hold procedures, and a payout that depends on a 48-hour check. It works because Wallapop publishes every rule. Brands that ship with more than one carrier face the same customer confusion and rarely publish anything.

Pango fixes that on the brand's own orders: one order record whatever the carrier, one branded tracking page, proactive messages when a parcel is on hold or waiting at a point with the deadline attached, and a returns flow that opens from the same page. The support load this removes is in what is WISMO, and the multi-carrier layer underneath in multi-carrier shipping in Europe.

The bottom line

A Wallapop order is governed by a handful of published clocks: 24 hours to confirm, 5 days to ship, 2 to 4 days in transit, 48 hours to check, and a carrier-specific hold if you miss the delivery. Know which carrier has the parcel and the rest follows. For brands who want the same clarity across their own carriers, see the post-purchase operations platform and book a demo.
