This is the comparison page for ecommerce delivery management software: six products, the six things a brand compares them on, and how to choose. What delivery management software is, what it is not, and how it differs from a TMS and a shipping app is explained in delivery management software; this page assumes that and compares. Every vendor statement below is from the vendor's own home, platform or pricing page, fetched on 2026-10-29; carrier counts are the vendors' own claims as printed, and outcome percentages from vendor pages are not repeated.
Short answer: The best delivery management software depends on how much of the delivery you want one system to run. For label printing and rate shopping across many carriers at low cost, ShipStation, Shippo and Easyship are the label-first tools, priced per plan or per label. For European brands that want checkout delivery options, labels, tracking and returns in one product, Sendcloud covers the set with a free plan and tiered pricing. For enterprise retailers that need a delivery API with checkout options, branded tracking and carrier control at scale, Metapack is the API-first option. Pango is the pick when delivery management should run as part of the whole post-purchase operation: the delivery promise at checkout, carrier routing, warehouse pick and pack, tracking and returns on one order record.
Free for DTC brands: Pango runs the shipping and returns audit on your own order and carrier data as part of a demo: fifteen numbers across checkout, carriers, warehouse handover, tracking and returns, the three that matter most for your operation, and the same orders shown running on one system. The comparison

| Sendcloud | "Increase checkout conversion with flexible delivery methods"; "dynamic delivery options in checkout" | Not stated as dates on the pages read | "Over 170 global and local courier partners" | Email, SMS and WhatsApp tracking notifications | "Automate your shipping from checkout to returns"; a return portal in the brand's own branding | No subscription fee up to 20 parcels a month; plans with monthly label limits and a per-label fee; 14-day free trial |

| Shippo | Not stated on the pages read | "Estimated delivery dates powered by AI" | "Discounted rates across 40+ carriers" | Not stated on the pages read | Not stated on the pages read | Plans on the pricing page; "Connect your own carrier account (5cts/label)" |
| Easyship | "Real-time rates at checkout to showcase the best courier options for each address, including delivery times and fully landed costs" | Delivery times shown at checkout | "Compare 550+ courier services" | Branded tracking | Pre-paid return labels | Free plan; 14-day free trial of professional plans |
| Pango | Shipping methods, pickup-point maps, prices and ETAs at checkout, with carrier-failure fallback and A/B testing of delivery options | ETAs at checkout | Connects to more than 100 carriers through prebuilt connectors | Branded tracking on the brand's own domain, normalised statuses, proactive notifications, status as an operational trigger | Returns and exchanges on the same record, exchange to any product in the store | See pango.ai/pricing |
"Not stated on the pages read" means the vendor pages we fetched today do not cover that column; it does not mean the product lacks it. Check the vendor's own product pages for that column before ruling it out.
How to choose
- Decide where the delivery starts. If it starts at the label, a label-first tool is enough. If it starts at checkout, with a date and a choice of pickup point, the software has to compute and show the promise, which narrows the list to the products with a checkout column.
- Check the carriers you actually use, in each market, as live connectors with your services, not the vendor's headline count.
- Ask whether tracking comes back normalised onto one status set your tracking page can show, and whether a delay can trigger a message on its own.
- Ask where returns run: on the same records and connectors as the outbound parcel, or in a separate tool.
- Model the price at your peak month on each vendor's meter: per label, per parcel, per plan with caps, or by order volume.
The definitions, the TMS and shipping-app comparison, and what delivery management software should do at checkout, in transit and at the door are in delivery management software; the carrier-integration layer underneath is in carrier integration software.
Pango
Pango runs delivery management as part of the whole post-purchase operation. Its checkout delivery module controls the logistics half of checkout: shipping methods, pickup-point maps, prices, ETAs, carrier-failure fallback and A/B testing of delivery options and messaging. Its shipping module does multi-carrier orchestration, routing, rate shopping, labels, shipping rules and multi-warehouse fulfilment, connected to more than 100 carriers through prebuilt connectors. Its pick-and-pack module prints the label when the parcel is packed, tied back into shipping and tracking. Its tracking module normalises carrier statuses onto one set on the brand's own domain and treats a shipment status as an operational trigger, and returns and exchanges run on the same order record. Pango is not an order management system; it sits on top of the store's OMS and reads its order data. The difference from the tools above is that Pango runs the logistics rather than sitting on top of it: routing, pick and pack, tracking and returns on one record.
The bottom line
The best delivery management software is the one whose scope matches where your delivery starts and ends: the label, the checkout, or the whole post-purchase operation. Compare the six columns above on your own carriers and your peak month, and ask each vendor whether tracking and returns land on the same record as the order.
